The Brave Raccoon Philisophy

We folks at Brave Raccoon Productions believe that global audiences, and American audiences especially, are craving content that does one single thing, and nothing else: it entertains them.

No preaching, no culture wars.

We also believe that American audiences find stories from the Nordics, especially when viewed through the lens of an American character who is discovering that part of the world for the very first time, to be inherently interesting.

As such, all of the projects in development on our initial slate are guided by a single tenet:

“Stories from Northern Europe tailored for broad American audiences.”

That is, start with a story that has solid bones and broad appeal because it’s based on intrinsic human emotions and the sense of dignity that people feel instinctively. Then, connect with the right partners in the producers and directors and actors that will make the story come to life.

Finally, execute the production with precision, with financial efficiency, and with artistic integrity.

For when all of these elements come together, the product is something that is worth the financial risks, the effort and all of the energy:

A project that will stand the test of time.
